How long does the whole process take?
From initial consultation to delivery is typically 3–5 weeks depending on project complexity and finish selections. Your designer will provide a clear timeline at consultation. DIY assembly of a standard kitchen typically takes a weekend.
Can your average person install their own kitchen?
Absolutely — and more people do it successfully than you'd expect. If you can follow instructions, use a drill and take your time, you can install your own kitchen. Every cabinet arrives labelled and ready to go. Our step-by-step video platform and support team are specifically designed to guide someone with no prior experience from start to a finished kitchen.
What tools do I need to install my kitchen?
The basics — a drill/driver, a spirit level, a tape measure, clamps and a rubber mallet. Most homeowners already own these or can borrow them. We provide a full tools and preparation checklist as part of your DIY package so you know exactly what you need before you start.
What's the full process timeline from start to finish?
Typically 5–8 weeks end to end. Week 1–2: online design consultation and finalising your layout and finishes. Week 2–4: manufacturing and quality checking your cabinetry. Week 4–5: delivery to your door. Week 5–7: installation — one to two weekends for a standard kitchen DIY, or faster with professional installers. Is the design process done online or will someone come out?
The design process is primarily done online via video consultation — you'll share your floor plan, photos and measurements with your designer and work through the layout together. This is actually more efficient than a traditional in-home measure and quote, and means we can move faster. Do I need to demolish my old kitchen myself?
For our DIY and Assisted DIY options, yes — you'll need to remove your existing kitchen before installation. It's more straightforward than most people expect and we provide guidance on how to do it safely. If you'd prefer not to handle demolition, your builder or a local handyman can do it quickly and affordably. Our full professional installation option can include demolition — just let your designer know at consultation.
What if I make a mistake and damage a panel during installation?
It happens — and it's nothing to stress about. Our team will work through the issue with you to find the best solution. In most cases there's a straightforward fix. If a panel does need to be recut, we can manufacture a replacement for you at cost price — no markup, no drama.
